A sprouting jar is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prepare delicious and nutritious sprouts at home in just a few days.

The Healthy Day® germination jar is made of health-safe glass. It has a special screw cap with a stainless steel mesh, a metal stand for placing the jar with the lid down, and a ceramic base to catch excess water that drips from the jar after washing the seeds. The mesh on the jar cap ensures sufficient air flow to the plants.

What can be sprouted?
Any vegetable, legume, cereal or herb seeds, except cress and arugula seeds. Seeds must be whole, undamaged and unpeeled. Use ORGANIC quality seeds for germination.

Seed germination instructions
Day 1: Place the seeds in a jar, screw on the lid, pour enough water to fill at least ¾ of the jar and soak for the time indicated on the seed package. After soaking, rinse the seeds thoroughly with water, turn the jar upside down and shake several times to remove all the water. Place the jar on a metal stand with the lid facing down. This will allow excess water to drip onto the ceramic bowl of the stand. The jar should be placed on a flat surface at room temperature of approximately 20°C, away from direct light and heat sources.
Next days: seeds need to be washed regularly to soak and germinate quickly. It is not necessary to remove the lid from the jar to water the seeds. Fill the jar with water through a strainer and after 1-2 minutes, pour out the water. Then place the jar back on the ceramic base. Repeat the seed washing process regularly at least twice a day (morning and evening) and whenever the seeds in the bottle seem to be drying out, until the finished sprouts are harvested. As on the first day, always shake the jar carefully when washing.
Harvesting: The growth rate of the sprouts depends on the specific characteristics of the sprouted seed and the ambient temperature. Remove the sprouts from the jar and either eat them immediately or store them in the refrigerator, where their growth will slow down considerably. Rinse the seeds with water before eating.

Ready-made sprouts can be added to salads - vegetable, leafy, pasta or legume. They can be used to decorate pastries or ready-made dishes, added to vegetable drinks, dressings, sauces and soups, or eaten on their own.
